EVENING COUNCIL

MINUTES

May 5, 2015

The meeting was called to order at 7:11 PM by Mrs. McKenna.

Mrs. McKenna welcomed everyone to the meeting.

The Council was encouraged to inform their fellow classmates on topics discussed at ASB meetings.

The minutes of the April 8, 2015, Evening Council meeting were approved as written.

Program Update
  • Spring Term Ends: June 5, 2015
  • Float day: May 22, 2015
  • Memorial Day: May 25, 2015
  • Summer School: June 15- July 16, 2015
 
Financial Report

The balance as of May 4, 2015, was $3051.14.

Report from Evening ASB Council

The minutes from the April 7, 2015, Daytime ASB Council were distributed. Mrs. McKenna explained that the minutes from each council meeting are given to the other council, so that they each know what is being discussed at each other’s meetings.

New Business

Mrs. McKenna informed the Council that summer school will begin on June 15 and end July 16, 2015. All departments will offer daytime programs only. There will not be an evening program. The daytime program will be Mondays –Thursdays from 8:30-12:30.

Mrs. McKenna informed the Council about the upcoming WASC visit scheduled for May 19, 2015. She told the Council that the WASC Team may stop by in room #221 to visit with the Daytime Council members that plan to help out in wrapping the “Day of the Teacher” gifts. The Council plans to meet on May 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM to wrap all the gifts.

Old Business

Mrs. McKenna reported that the PIH blood drives, which were held on April 7, 2015, in the daytime and on April 28, 2015, in the evening, were successful.

She also informed the Council that she purchased two more umbrellas for the trailer area. The purchase had been approved by both Councils during the April ASB meetings.

Student Concerns

There were no new student concerns at this time.
