  • Giant Word Search--St. Patrick's Day

    This St. Patrick's Day themed Word Search is aimed at the higher level ESL student and ABE student.  It prints out onto 1 sheet of paper.  Enlarge it in the poster making machine, put it on the wall in the classroom, and let students work on it together. Or cut it into nine pages and make a competition out of it.  Great fun!

    This movie themed Word Search is aimed at the higher level ESL student and ABE student.  It prints out onto 4 pieces of paper. Enlarge it in the poster making machine, put it on the wall in the classroom, and let students choose the page they want to work on. I (Dianne) did one for Christmas.  It was great fun!
     
     
  • ELCivics 46.7 -- Nutrition

    This site has a variety of lessons for the Nutrition objective, suitable for several levels.  It has lessons on food vocabulary w/quizzes, excellent interactive lessons to study food labels, as well as listening and reading lessons on the topic of nutrition.  "Janis's ESL Home Page" menu is copied for you and included in the Nutrition packet.

  • OTAN

    OTAN provides lots of information and resources related to Adult Education. Click on the "Teaching Tools and Resources" or the "Ed Technology and Media" tab for websites and lesson plans in a wide range of areas. Use the key word search to help you find things more quickly. Information about online and face-to-face training sessions is also available. There are a lot of resources here!
     
     
  • ESL -- Traffic Signs Manual

    This site has images of traffic signs by category and as an alphabetized list. When you select the sign, click on ".gif" for an image that you can manipulate in Word or Paint.  Useful for ELCivics Objective 12--DMV.
