Eleven trailers were bought to the Sierra campus this week, looking like a parade of elephants in a circus, brought, one after another, to the arena and then asked to wait their turn to be lifted and coaxed into place around an open courtyard. The trailers will house the ABE and ESL classes that have been temporarily sharing the Cal High campus this past school year. Teachers and students alike are eager to inhabit their new classrooms, which are larger than the old ones that were demolished. The new classrooms are settled on a permanent foundation and have been retrofitted as a defense against earthquake damage. The new trailers will be completely up-to-date technologically. We are hoping to populate the new trailers at
the beginning of the Fall Term.
